a2 Milk™ is a totally natural product. A proportion of cows naturally produce milk that contains only the A2 type of beta-casein.

Using technology proprietary to a2 Corporation, the identification of A2 cows is a simple process, and a farmer can begin producing a2 Milk™ without major expense or significant change to existing herd management practices.

Those cows that produce pure a2 Milk™ are milked separately from those that do not. Although a DNA test is used to identify a2 Milk™ producing cows, no genetic modification is involved in the process, and the tests are non-intrusive to the animals, requiring only a tail-hair sample.
