A2 votes for deal to buy out Aust partner

A special meeting in Auckland of A2 Corporation shareholders has approved a deal to buy up the remaining 50 per cent stake in Australia's A2 Dairy Products that it does not already own.

In return, its partner in the company, ASX-listed Freedom Nutritional Products, will get a 25 per cent stake in A2 Corp when the deal is completed - probably tomorrow.

A2 Corporation reports reduced interim loss

A2 Corporation made an unaudited post-tax loss of $717,172 in the six months to December 31 from a loss of $1.99 million in the corresponding period last year.

The NZAX-listed company said its operational loss of $566,476 was better than the $691,000 loss expected in the company's budget and the $1.89 million loss in the corresponding period last year.

A2 yoghurt planned for Australia

A2 Corporation’s joint venture in Australia is going into the yoghurt business.

A2 Dairy Products Australia (A2DPA) is a JV between New Zealand’s A2 Corporation and Australia’s Freedom Nutritional Products.

It has entered into a license and supply agreement to enable Jalna Dairy Foods to manufacture, market and sell a range of A2 branded yoghurts in Australia.
